BAODA various titanium anode and application

 

Titanium anode (MMO) are make of precious metal iridium salt coating on titanium substrate by high temperature sintering, widely used in electroplating (Printed circuit board industry demanding deep copper plating, glod plating), electrolysis and other hydrometallurgical industry. Preparation and application of electrode has been a mature state, 40 years history, compared with the traditional platinum electode in alkaline electroless copper plating process, the platium-plated titanium anode electrode has unmatched advantages:

1.     Technical features

High-efficiency current, excellent anti-bacterial rot; electrode long life; can withstand a higher current density and operating current density: <10000A/M2, belonging oxygen evolution anodic basic industrial pure titanium.

 

2.     High catalytic activity

As is well know, platinum-plated electrode is a high potential peroxy (1.563V, the relative mercury sulfate) electrode, and the MMO anode is a low over potential for oxygen evolution (1.385V relative sulfate mercury) electrode, oxygen evolution at the anode District oxygen more easily. Therefore the electrolysis, the voltage is also relatively low and save more energy. This phenomenon in the copper foil after alkaline copper treatment has been clearly manifested.

 

3.     Polution-free MMO

Anodic coating of precious metals are iridium ceramic oxides, the oxides are a very stable oxides, hardly soluble in any acid-base, and the oxide coating of about 20-40μm, the overall volume of coating oxides are less . Therefore, MMO Anode electroplating solution will not cause pollution, and this basic as-plated Pt electrode.

 

4. Cost-effective

Maintained the same life with the platinum-plated electrode (coating thickness 3.5mm), MMO anode about the 80% price of platinum electrode plating, MMO electroplating copper electrode in alkaline electrolyte has better electrochemical stability, meanwhile the electrolysis has excellent activity and durability. Compared our company’s MMO with electrode cost, electrode MMO more cost-effective obviously.
